Collateral vessels of viscera and bowels

Abstract: Collateral vessels of viscera and bowels refers to deep ones in meridian system related closely to the characteristics of viscera and bowels, and they have their own features and are one important part of collateral vessel system. The paper initially investigated deep collateral vessels of viscera and bowels based on the theory of collateral invaded by chronic disease brought up by YE Tian-shi and ancient literature. The purpose is to analyze the function, distribution, examination, characteristics of syndromes and treatment, and relationship among 15 collateral vessels from the aspect of standardizing TCM terms.
