Mental image theory of Chinese traditional philosophies applied to traditional Chinese medicine (Ⅰ): interpretation of mental image theory

Abstract: Mental image, one of key concepts in Chinese traditional philosophies, is the mode of TCM original thinking. Through interpretation under the embryology viewpoint and academic connotation, mental image is revealed to be rooted in philosophy of mind of Chinese traditional philosophies. Mental image is foremost defined as the form of representation, presented in the form of mind, spirit, emotion, dream, void-quietness, noumenon, and so on.
