Abstract: Objective Based on data mining, to explore the medication regularity of traditional Chinese medicine in treating myasthenia gravis. Method We searched VIP,Wanfang Data, CNKI and CBM databases to collect theses on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treating myasthenia gravis from inception to May, 2018. Two reviewers independently screened literature, extracted data and established database. Frequency count, cluster analysis and association rule were used to analyze regularity of key herbs and a pair (group) of herbs. Results We identified 187 studies that involved a total of 379 prescriptions and 270 herbs about treating Myasthenia Gravis. The cumulative frequency of drug use was 4724 times. The arrangement of top 10 herbs by using frequency were astragalus, atractylodes, liquorice, angelica sinensis, lanceolata, cimicifugafoetida, yam, bupleurum, tangerine peel, poria and among classes of drugs, the tonics, drugs for relieving exterior disorder, heat-clearing herbs, drugs that cleared excess wind and dampness, drugs that regulated flow of qi were mainly used. The clustering analysis of core herbs showed 5 classifications. According to the analysis of association rules that the degree of support was >30%, the rules in pair herbs were 13, in 3 herbs were 24, and in 4 herbs were 16, which were performed by the combination of qi invigorating drugs in the tonics, blood tonics and upraising the middle qi in drugs for relieving exterior disorder. Conclusion The medication regularity of traditional Chinese medicine for treating Myasthenia Gravis is dominated by the method of reinforcing deficiency. The combination of drugs is mainly composed of Buzhong Yiqi decoction as the core, and the complementary law of Spleen and Kidney intervening runs through the whole course of disease, meanwhile, applying clearing heat, eliminating dampness and detoxification are based on the differentiating symptoms and signs.
