Implications of "liver wind disease" in Huangdi Neijing for the diagnosis and treatment of mixed anxiety and depressive disorder
is distinguished from "liver wind" pathogenesis. In this article
we reveal the core pathogenesis of "liver wind disease" in
Huangdi Neijing
as well as its treatment principles
methods
and prescriptions
in order to inspire modern clinical diagnosis and treatment of mixed anxiety and depressive disorder. "Liver wind disease" in
Huangdi Neijing
is a type of emotional and mental illness that is caused by liver deficiency and wind and has a dual pathogenic mechanism of organ deficiency and external evil
with liver deficiency and wind movement as the core pathogenic mechanism
and multiple emotional changes such as sadness
anger
and hatred as the main characteristics. In western medicine
mixed anxiety and depressive disorder is a special category of depression
where the main symptoms of depression and anxiety are seen together
and is complex and variable. This disease is similar to "liver wind disease"
which is characterized by variably emotional manifestations
and can therefore be treated with reference to the key pathogenesis of liver deficiency and wind movement
liver qi stagnation and disorders
and the characteristics of wind. The basic principle is to tonify the liver and treat the wind.
