摘要:The author points out that the doctrine that treating a TCM syndrome by using a specific set formula traditionally established for the syndrome can not be used as a general rule in TCM clinical practice after he has studied both present-day and ancient books on medical formulas and many clinical facts. The author has found out that the doctrine can not give reasonable explanations of the facts that one syndrome can be treated by different formulas and a specific set formula can be used to treat different syndromes in TCM clinical practice.

摘要:Hyperglycemic and hyperlipoidemic rabbits were used to observe the regulative effects of Chinese chicory ( Cichorium glandulosum or Cichorium intybus ) on blood-lipid, blood sugar and blood rheological criteria. The results showed that Chinese chicory alcohol-soluble extractive could lower the levels of blood sugar, total cholesterol and triglyceride; fairly decrease the viscosity of whole blood and plasma; lessen erythrocyte sedimentation rate and the K value in the blood sedimentation equation; but exert an insignificant effect on erythrocyte rigidity index and erythrocyte aggregation index. The results, however, imply that Chinese chicory has the effects for treating hyperglycemia and hyperlipoidemia.
摘要:The respiratory tract influenza virus infection model of Balb/c clonal mice was used to observe the changes in NK cell activity, IL 2 content, IFN γ induction, and the content of T cell subgroup. The treating group was given Qingfei decoction in a dose of 34.08 g/kg, and the control group was given a positive control drug. The results showed that there was a lineal relationship among IFN γ, IF 2 and NK cell activity, and that Qingfei decoction could enhance the activity NK cells and IL 2, induce IFN γ (the effects were stronger than that of the positive control drug), increase the levels of CD 3 +, CD 4 +and the ratio of CD 4 +/CD 8 +, but decrease CD 8 + level; while the positive control drug did not have a marked effect on CD 8 +.
摘要:The cerebral ischemic and hypotensive mice treated by re perfusion were used to study the effects of Kangdai mixture (KM) on LPO, SOD and CA1 cells. The results showed that on the 7th day after re perfusion, SOD activity was inhibited, LPO production was increased, and about 81% of CA1 cells was damaged in the mice. After being treated with KM and nimodipine, SOD activity was increased, LPO production was decreased, and importantly, pyramidal cells in hippocampal CA1 region were protected from delayed neuronal death. About 87% of pyramidal cells survived in KM group and 49% in nimodipine group.

摘要:The application of molecular biological theory and techniques in TCM research field in recent years and the importance of it are discussed in the paper. The authors point out that the introduction of new molecular biological techniques into TCM scientific research field not only provides new means and methods for explaining TCM theories, deepening the understanding of the essence of diseases, studying the pharmacology of Chinese drugs and developing new medical preparations, but also gives inspiring thoughts on developing new diagnostic and treating techniques, and promoting TCM reform and progress.
摘要:HPLC and TLCS were used for the quantitative determination of 2,3,5,4’ tetrahydroxy stilbene 2 O β D glucoside (TSG) in Polygonum multiflorum and its preparation -- Congsheng Capsules. The recovery rates of these two methods were both more than 96%, and the determination results were basically consistent with each other.
摘要:Effects of Cordyceps sinensis (CS) on murine immunologic function were observed. The results showed that CS decoction could significantly inhibit murine splenic lymphocyte blastogenesis stimulated with ConA or LPS, MLR of different murine strains, and the production of IL 1 and IL 2, with an obvious dose effect relationship. The results also showed that CS decoction had a marked enhancing effect on the activity of murine NK cells (P<0.001), which suggests that CS decoction has various immunological effects, and this may be related with the reaction on different immunocytes of the decoction.
