摘要:Subhealth Conditions are a medical subject of great importance for mankind in the new century. At present, 60% of the populations in the world suffer from Subhealth Conditions, and this has become a ubiquitous social problem. In the field of study and treatment of Subhealth Conditions, the traditional Chinese medicine can make great and important contributions to the health of mankind, because it possesses many theories and methods for diagnosing, preventing and treating Subhealth Conditions, including the concept of treating "potential diseases", theoretical systems of human constitution doctrine and psychosomatic medicine, therapies of pure natural remedies, nondrug therapies, and the health products developed according to traditional Chinese medical theory and practice. In this regard, the traditional Chinese medicine will not only expand its academic space but will also greatly influence the evolution and development of medicine worldwide.

摘要:The effects of the traditional Chinese preparation, Zhixiaotongmaining (ZTN), on the gene expression of iNOS mRNA in the kidney were studied in rats with experimental diabetes. The rats were divided into the model (established by abdominal injection of streptozotocin) group, ZTN treating group, general drug treating group and control group, and the RTPCR technique was used to observe the expression of iNOS mRNA in all the four groups. The results showed that compared with the control group, the level of the expression of iNOS mRNA was obviously higher in the model group, that in the ZTN treating group or the general drug treating group was lower, especially that in the ZTN treating group.
摘要:The effects of Jiunaoning Injection (JI) on neuron apoptosis induced by hypoxia and hypoglycemia were studied. SH SY5Y was used to establish the model of neuron apoptosis induced by hypoxia and hypoglycemia. Flow cytometry and living cell fluorescent double staining were used to observe the neuron apoptosis and the inhibitory effects of JI on the neuron apoptosis. The results showed that neuron apoptosis could be induced by the hypoxic and hypoglycemic culture, and an obvious apoptotic peak in front of the G1 peak with an apoptotic ratio of 42 99%±7 73% was found by the flow cytometry analysis; after the fluorescent double staining was performed, the coacervation of cytoplasm in the apoptotic neurons was observed by the fluorescence microscope. The results also showed that a medium or a large dose of JI could decrease the apoptotic ratio of the neuron in the JI treating group; and there was a significant difference between the result from the JI treating group and that from the model group ( P <0 01), and an insignificant difference between the result from the JI treating group and that from the nerve growth factor group ( P >0 05). Therefore, it could be concluded that JI can inhibit the neuron apoptosis induced by hypoxia and hypoglycemia, and possesses protective effects on the neuron.
摘要:The mechanism of the formation of the tongue coating and the relationship between the thickness of the tongue coating and cell apoptosis were studied by observing and examining the morphology and the amount of the apoptotic cells in the tongue coating with electron microscope, fluorescence microscope and flow cytometry apparatus. The results showed that in the tongue coating of patients with acute infection of respiratory tract, there were cells with typical apoptotic features, and the apoptotic index of the medium tongue coating was significantly greater than that of the light tongue coating or the heavy tongue coating ( P <0 05). It could be seen that during the process of terminal differentiation, some stratified squamous epithelial cells of filariform lingual papillae undergone apoptosis, and there was a certain relationship between the thickness of the tongue coating and the apoptotic index.

摘要:The theory of the kidney responding to winter is part of the theory of the five zang organs responding to four seasons in traditional Chinese medicine. The changes in the levels of serum testosterone (T), luteotropic hormone (LH) and follicule stimulating hormone (FSH) were studied in the pineal body removed SD male rats at the Winter Solstice and the Summer Solstice. The results showed that in the normal rats, T level was high in summer and low in winter, LH level tended to increase at Summer Solstice and FSH level had no obvious seasonal change; but in the pineal body removed rats, the levels of all the three biochemical substances markedly increased at both Winter Solstice and Summer Solstice. It can be concluded that one of the meanings of the theory of the kidney responding to winter is that the reproductive function of the kidney decreased in winter and increased in summer, and the pineal body may be the medium by which the life reproduction establishes relationships with seasons.
摘要:It was found in this study that oral administration of Yifu Instant Granules (YIGS) could antagonize coronarospasm induced in rat by pituitrin; inhibit the appearance of abnormal electrocardiogram induced in rat by isopropylnoradrenaline; reduce the increase of the levels of serum SGOT, CKP and LDH induced in rat by isopropylnoradrenaline; and obviously increase myocardial nutritional blood flow in mice. The results suggest that there is a relationship between the protective effects of YIGS against myocardial ischemia and the facts that YIGS relieve coronarospasm, increase myocardial nutritional blood flow, and regulate and maintain the oxygen metabolism and the balance of supply and demand of energy in a condition of myocardial ischemia.
摘要:The structural differences of pinealocytes of the rats undergone different sunlight of winter and summer seasons were observed by electron microscopy. The results showed that compared with the rats undergone the sunlight of summer, the rats undergone the sunlight of winter showed the following ultrastructural changes in their pinealocytes: (1) the nucleus became larger, with less heterochromatin; (2) there were many Golgi bodies in the cytoplasm, with enlarged cyst cavities; (3) there were many small membraniferous vesiculae around the Golgi bodies; (4) the level of glycogen increased. The above-mentioned changes suggest that the pineal functional activities in the rat have a seasonal rhythmicity.
摘要:Rabbits with hyperlipidemia successfully induced by feeding hyper lipidic emulsion for 8 weeks were randomly divided into the control group, treating group I (treated with a small dose of the liquid pine needle extract) and treating group II (treated with a large dose of the extract). A certain volume of blood was drawn from the rabbits to determine the levels of TG, TC, MDA, and SOD activity, and total anti oxidizing capacity in the serum. The results showed that after the treatment with the liquid pine needle extract, the levels of TC and MDA were lower, and SOD activity and total anti oxidizing capacity were higher in both treating groups; and compared with the control group, the extract showed stronger effects in treating group Ⅱ. It can be concluded that the extract has fairly strong effects of reducing blood lipid and resisting oxidization.

摘要:The relationship between pulmonary hypertension induced by hypoxia and the two plasmatic constituents of nitric oxide (NO) and platelet activating factor (PAF), and the mechanism of the effects of Gulouxiebaibanxia Decoction (GD), were studied by observing the changes in the levels of NO and PAF and in the pulmonary vascular morphology, and the effects of GD on them in the rats with pulmonary hypertension induced by hypoxia under the ordinary air pressure. The results showed that in the rats with pulmonary hypertension induced by hypoxia under the ordinary air pressure, the level of NO decreased and that of PAF increased ( P <0.01); and GD could obviously increase the level of NO and decrease that of PAF ( P <0.01), and at the same time, make the arteriolar wall thickened and arteriolar stenosis relieved.
摘要:The effects of Bushentongluoshugan Recipe (BR) on the expression of NOS mRNA in the penile tissue of aged rats were observed in this study. The aged rats were randomly divided into the model group, sildenafil group, testosterone propionate group, BR group and the normal group (consisting of the rats aged 2 months), and PCR technique was used to detect the changes in the expression of NOS mRNA in the penile tissue of the rats in all the groups. The results showed that the expression of NOS mRNA in BR group was obviously higher than those in other 4 groups, in which in terms of the extent of the expression of NOS mRNA, there was such a sequence: sildenafil group > normal group > testosterone propionate group > model group; and the internally controlled amounts of NOS mRNA in the penile tissue in the BR group and sildenafil group was significantly larger than those in other 3 groups ( P <0.05). It can be concluded that BR can increase the expression of NOS mRNA in the penile tissue of aged rats.
摘要:The ingredients of Congsheng Capsules including the root of Polygonum multiflorum, the leaf of Nelumbo nucifera, the stem of Cistanche deserticola, and the body of the earthworm were identified by thin layer chromatography. The results showed that the chromatographic spots of the four ingredients were distinct with good reappearance, and could be used for the identification of this kind of medical preparation.
摘要:The content of flavonoid in the active fraction against influenza virus (AFAIV) of Yinqiao Powder (YP) was determined by NaNO 2 Al(NO 3) 3 NaOH chromatometry, and the contribution of each YP ingredient to AFAIV of YP was studied by determining the content of flavonoid in each ingredient. The results showed that the mean content of flavonoid in AFAIV of YP was 35 0% ( n =3), the sample recovery was 100.1%, and RSD was 1.54% ( n =5); of 9 ingredients, the fruit of Forsythia suspensa, peppermint, aerial parts of Schizonepeta tenuofilia, and honeysuckle flower were greater contributors, making up 8 23%, 7 39%, 6 82% and 4 48% of AFAIV of YP, respectively.
摘要:One of the compounds separated from the plant of Illicium henryi var. multistanminum was analyzed by X ray crystal diffraction technique, and the results proved it to be 3,4 oxo isopropylidene shikimic acid, with a relative configuration of 3α, 4α, 5β.

摘要:A HPLC method was established for determining the content of baicalin in Qinxiazhixiao Instant Granules. The specification of the YWG C 18 chromatographic column was 4.6 mm×250 mm, 10 μm; the mobile phase was MeOH∶H 2O∶THF∶H 3PO 4 (200∶300∶50∶0.16); the retention time of baicalin was about 9 minutes; the average recovery rate of baicalin was 100.65%; and the RSD 2 03%.
摘要:Cases of acute leukemia were involved in this clinical study on the relationship between P170 expression in acute leukemia of different TCM types and the therapeutic effectiveness. The results showed that compared with the standard data, in the patients of the deficiency of both qi and blood type, P170 positive expression rate was lower while the clinical relieving rate was higher; and in the patients of the deficiency of both qi and yin type or in the virulent heat and blood stasis type, P170 positive expression rate was higher while the clinical relieving rate was lower. The results of the study have provided useful experimental data for treating TCM syndromes related with multidrug resistance by TCM diagnostics and therapeutics.

摘要:Cases of chronic bronchitis in the protracted course characterized by the TCM syndrome of deficiency of both the lung and kidney and obstruction of the lung by phlegm, were randomly divided into the treating group and the control group. The former (consisting of 30 cases) was given Gubenzhike Capsules (GCS) which possess the effects of tonifying the lung and benefiting the kidney, strengthening the spleen and dissolving phlegm; and the latter (consisting of 15 cases) was given Gubenkechuan Tablets (CTS) which possess the effects of nourishing qi, consolidating the exterior of the body, strengthening the spleen and tonifying the kidney. It was found that the effective rate of GCS in treating cough, expectoration, asthma, and wheeze was obviously higher than that of CTS, and the clinical tests showed that GCS could fairly improve pulmonary function, regulate immune function, etc. The results of study suggest that GCS have relatively good effects for treating patients with chronic bronchitis in the protracted course characterized by the TCM syndrome of deficiency of both the lung and kidney and obstruction of the lung by phlegm.

摘要:A retrospective study on the clinical features of 24 cases of Leber’s hereditary optic neuropathy involving 48 eyes was carried out. The patients aged from 12 to 44 years, with an average age of 20 3±7 2, and the male made up 83% of the patients. The typical cases were mostly with painless visual loss in 1 eye. The range of visual loss was from before-the-eye hand sway to 1.2; the visual acuity of 40 eyes was equal to or less than 0.1; the visual field defect was chiefly of central or pericentral scotoma; and the color sensation was severely affected. In some patients, at the early stage of the disease, there were fundus pathological changes characterized by obvious hyperemia of the optic disc, dilation and tortuosity of the small vessels around the optic disc, edema of the nerve fiber layer around the optic disc, and no leakage of fluorescein from the optic disc and the vessels in the marginal region of the optic disc detected by the fundus fluorescent angiography.
摘要:The intensity and frequency of uterine contraction were observed in 40 rats in early pregnancy in order to study the reinforcement of the effects of mifepristone and misoprostol on intrauterine pressure by puncturing hegu and sanyinjiao with electric needles. The results showed that combining with the above mentioned two drugs, electric acupuncture could increase the rate of complete abortion of early pregnancy and relieve endometrorrhagia by inhibiting random uterine contraction, increasing intrauterine pressure, and reinforcing rhythmical uterine contraction.
