摘要:An objective quantification method, 100 mm surveyors rod method, for quantifying TCM symptoms and syndromes was established. According to this method, the patients’ symptomatic material was collected by the matched pairs comparison method and then, discriminant analysis was used to diagnose the symptoms and syndromes quantitatively. The authors of this paper hold that the RCT criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of traditional Chinese drugs should include two parts, namely, (1) TCM macroscopic criteria: the symptomatic variants quantified by the 100 mm surveyors method and the difference between Y0 before and Y0 after of syndromes and, (2) microscopic criteria.

摘要:The model of minimal change nephropathy (MCN) in rats was successfully established by a single intravenous injection of adriamycin. In the second week after the injection of adriamycin, the swelling of glomerular visceral epithelial cells, congestion of capillary vessels, and proteinaceous casts in the renal tubules were found in the kidney of the rats by microscopy. In the seventh week, the focal segmental glomerular sclerosis with tubular atrophy was seen in some rats; and electron microscopy revealed degenerative changes of glomerular epithelial cells such as deformation, flattening, fusion, closed connection, and fragmentation of foot processes, and the decrease of anionic sites in GBM. At the same time, the rats showed some symptoms of nephritic syndrome such as edema, hypoproteinemia, hypercholesterolemia and proteinuria.
摘要:The regularity of the change in the levels of melatonin (MT) in the pineal body, serum and hypothalamus pituitary testicle axis in summer and winter seasons was investigated in rats in order to study "the kidney relating to winter" theory. The results revealed that in the normal rats, the level of melatonin in the pineal body increased in winter and decreased in summer, and that in the serum and hypothalamus pituitary testicle axis tended upwards in winter and downwards in summer correspondingly; but in the pineal body removed rats, the levels of melatonin in the serum and hypothalamus pituitary testicle axis decreased significantly in both seasons. Three conclusive points can be drawn from the results: ① there is a marked seasonal change in the levesl of melatonin in the pineal body, serum and hypothalamus pituitary testicle axis; ② that the reproduction function has a tendency to be weak in the Winter Solstice and to be strong in the Summer Solstice (according to "the kidney relating to winter" theory) is related to the regulating effects on the function of the sexual gland axis of the seasonal change in the levels of melatonin in the pineal body, serum and hypothalamus pituitary testicle axis; ③ that the correlation between the physiological mechanism of "the kidney relating to winter" and the seasonal change in the levels of melatonin in the pineal body, serum and hypothalamus pituitary testicle axis is introduced by the photosensitive melatonin in the pineal body; and the physiological mechanism of "the kidney relating to winter" has a molecular biological basis.

摘要:The rat model of insulin resistance was established by the method of feeding high carbohydrate forage, and then, the middle cerebral artery electrocoagulation was performed on the insulin resistant model. The effects of Tongnaojing Capsules (TC) on the level of serum insulin, insulin sensitivity index (ISI), the level and activity of plasmatic tissue plasminogen activator (t PA), and the levels of plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 (PAI 1) and D dimer (DD) were observed in the rat model of insulin resistance under cerebral ischemia. The results showed that compared with those in the rats in the blank control and the model group, the level of serum insulin markedly increased ( P <0 01), ISI significantly decreased ( P <0 01), the level and activity of plasmatic t PA markedly reduced ( P <0 01), and the levels of PAI 1 and DD significantly increased ( P <0 01) in the insulin resistant rats under cerebral ischemia; after the treatment with TC, the abnormality of these criteria was remarkably reduced ( P <0 01), which suggests that the insulin resistant rats under cerebral ischemia are in an obvious state of insulin resistance and fibrinolytic activity decrease, and TC can reverse their insulin resistance and enhance their fibrinolytic activity, which might be one of the mechanisms of TC in curing acute cerebral infarction.
摘要:The preventive and curative effects of Tiaogandaozhuo Decoction (TD) on atherosclerosis (AS) were studied by culturing rat aorta smooth muscle cells with high lipid serum and TD, and by using the immunohistochemical detection. The results showed that TD could markedly inhibit the proliferation of rat aorta smooth muscle cells under the high lipid serum culture with a positive rate of PCAN lower than that with the AS model group, and decrease the level of Ca 2+ in the rat aorta smooth muscle cells. The results suggest that TD has good regulative effects on the proliferation of rat aorta smooth muscle cells, hence to prevent the occurrence and development of AS.
摘要:The effects of Qingkailing Injection (QI) on c fos gene expression in relieving neurotoxic brain injury induced by glutamate were studied in rats by the immunohistochemical method and radioligand binding assay. The effects of QI and of the blockage of c fos gene expression by the right ventricle injection of c fos antisense oligonucleotide on the amount of cerebral protein kinase C (PKC) expression, and on the amount and affinity of N methyl D aspartic acid (NMDA) receptor of glutamate were also studied by the methods as same as the above mentioned. The results showed that QI could effectively inhibit the increase of the expression of cerebral c fos protein and PKC protein induced by glutamate, and lower the amount of NMDA receptor of glutamate; while both c fos antisense oligonucleotide and c fos sense oligonucleotide had no marked effects on the amount of NMDA receptor of glutamate and the increase of the expression of cerebral PKC protein induced by glutamate. The results suggest that the mechanism of the protective effects of QI against glutamate induced cerebral injury is related to its inhibiting the expression of c fos protein and PKC protein and lowering the amount of NMDA receptor.
摘要:In this paper, osteoporosis (OP) manifesting symptoms but not showing low bone mineral density (BMD) was considered as being at its functional morbid stage, and OP manifesting both symptoms and low BMD was considered as being at its organic morbid stage according to the theory of the twelve meridian diseases recorded in Miraculous Pivot, one of the two parts of The Yellow Emperors Internal Classic (a famous ancient book on TCM). The criteria relating to both functional and organic morbid stages of OP were analyzed. The results showed that OP was mainly related to the kidney and urinary bladder meridians, and there was a marked difference between the BMD values measured at the two stages. The results also showed that there were two bone loss peaks after the kidney essence exhaustion in both women and men, which is not recorded in The Yellow Emperor’s Internal Classic.

摘要:The effects of Kaiyuqingwei Granules (KG) on the binding power of insulin receptors and insulin like growth factor 1 (IGF 1) in liver and skeletal muscle cells in the rats with streptozotocin induced diabetes were studied in diabetic rats. Rats in the experiment were divided into 4 groups, namely, the normal control, diabetic model control, TCM drug treatment, and western style drug treatment. The results showed that after the relevant treatment for 1 month, compared with those in the diabetic model control group, the level of blood sugar and the binding power of insulin receptors in liver and skeletal muscle cell membranes decreased ( P <0.01 or P <0.05), IGF 1 level increased ( P <0.001), and the level of insulin had no marked change in the TCM drug treatment group. The results suggest that KG can decrease the insulin resistance at the sites anterior to the receptors, hence to relieve diabetic disturbance of carbohydrate metabolism through increasing IGF 1 level.

摘要:The main mechanism of the interfering effects of Ruanganhuazheng Pills (RP) on hepatic fibrosis was studied. Rat hepatic satellite cells (HSC) were separated and cultured with RP serum prepared in normal rats. JH3,D,Z TdR incorporation was used for detecting HSC proliferation; ELISA, for measuring the level of collagen I in HSC supernatant; RT PCR, for detecting the expression of mRNA of HSC procollagen α 2 (I) and, the isotope label method, for detecting the activity of MMP1 in HSC supernatant. The results showed that RP-serum could inhibit HSC proliferation and the secretion of collagen I, increase the activity of MMP1, decrease the expression of mRNA of procollagen α 2 (I), which implies that the mechanism of the effects of RP for interfering hepatic fibrosis may be its inhibiting the activation of HSC.
摘要:In vivo mutagenic and antimutagenic effects of the water alcohol extract of the root of Aconitum carmichaeli (AC) processed with honey (I), water extract of the root of AC processed with honey (II), and water extract of the root of AC processed according to PRC pharmacopoeia (III) were studied by the micronucleus test, sister chromatid exchange test and the chromosome aberration test. The results showed that all the three kinds of extract had no mutagenicity but possessed marked inhibitory effects on the cyclophosphamide induced marrow polychromatic erythrocyte micronucleus phenomenon, marrow cell sister chromatid exchange and marrow cell chromosome aberration in mice, and among them, the antimutagenic effects of I and II were stronger than those of III, which suggests that the processed root of AC can antagonize the genetic damage caused by cyclophosphamide and the honey processing can enhance the antimutagenic effects of the root of AC.

摘要:The model of atherosclerosis in vitro was established by culturing newborn endothelial cells (EC) of umbilical veins with rabbit high lipid serum, and the protective effects of Ruanmaining Decoction (RD) against the injury induced by lipid peroxidation on EC form, structure and fibrinolytic function were observed by the phase contrast microscopy, electron microscopy, and by the detection of lipoprotein (a) (LP(a)), tissue plasminogen activator (t PA) and plasminogen activator inhibitor (PAI). The results showed that RD could reduce EC shrinkage and the degree of the injury of EC biological membrane system. The results also showed that RD could markedly decrease the level of LP(a), increase the activity of t PA, and reduce the activity of PAI, with a positive correlation between LP(a) and PAI.
摘要:Effects of Yiqiwenyanghuwei Decoction (YD) on the specific binding sites of glucocorticoid receptor (GCR) in the peripheral white blood cells were studied in asthmatic guinea pigs. The guinea pigs were randomly divided into the groups of normal control (NC), asthmatic model (AM), dexamethasone treatment (DT), Yupingfeng Powder treatment (YPT), small dosage Yiqiwenyanghuwei Decoction treatment (SYDT), middle dosage Yiqiwenyanghuwei Decoction treatment (MYDT), and large dosage Yiqiwenyanghuwei Decoction treatment (LYDT). The results showed that the level of the specific binding sites of the peripheral blood GCR in the NC group were 3258 4±1070 4 sites/cell ( P <0 05); those in the AM group, 1541.1±558.9; those in the DT group, 1086 2±517 3 ( P <0 05); there was no significant difference ( P >0 05) between those in the AM group and those in the YPT (1629 9±579 1) group; all dosages of Yiqiwenyanghuwei Decoction could increase the specific binding sites of GCR, and although there was no significant difference ( P >0 05) between those in the LYDT group (2674 8±890 5) and those in the MYDT group (2481 9±974 7), there was a significant difference ( P <0 05) between those in the LYDT group and those in the SYDT group (1972 1±756).
摘要:A TLCS method for the determination of schizandrin A in Jiangzhibaogan Capsules was developed. First, the sample was extracted by chloroform reflux extraction and then, the extract of the sample was purified through an aluminum oxide column. The solution of the extract was dripped on a silica gel GF 254 thin layer plate, and developed with the upper part of a developer consisting of petroleum ether methyl acetate formic acid (15∶5∶1). The canning was performed under the condition of λ S = 230 nm and λ R=350 nm. The experimental results showed that this method, with an average recovery of 97.72% ( n =3), was sensitive and accurate, and suitable to be used for determining schizandrin A in Jiangzhibaogan Capsules.
摘要:The study on the antimalarial effects and acute toxicity of the extract II of Dryopteris crassirhizoma Nakai was carried out in mice with plasmodium berghei K 173 and RC/ K 173 by Peters four day inhibitory method. The results from the pharmacodynamic experiment showed that the ED 50 of the extract Ⅱ to K 173 was 59.74 mg/kg; the ED 50 to K 173 and RC/K 173 was 111.22 mg/kg; and the resistance index was 2.10. The results from the acute toxicity test showed that the LD 50 of the extract Ⅱ of one day gastric perfusion administration to the mice was 8890 mg/kg (the 95% confidence interval was between 6405 mg/kg and 12338 mg/kg), and the therapeutic index was 148.
摘要:In order to study the preoperative TCM symptomatological characteristics of the patients with primary cerebroma, in line with the design of the research, the symptoms and signs of 318 cases of primary cerebroma were observed, their frequency of occurrence was calculated, and their manifestations in different kinds of cerebroma were compared. It was found that the symptoms and signs related to the head, face and the five sense organs such as headache (66 1%), blurred vision (37 7%), dizziness (22 0%) were commonest, and the symptoms and signs related to the stomach and intestines such as vomiting (19 5%), nausea (16 7%) were commoner; other symptoms and signs such as hobbling (15 1%), weak limbs (14 5%), convulsion of the limbs (10 4%) and unconsciousness (10 1%) were relatively high in percentage. The results of analysis showed that the symptoms and signs of different kinds of cerebroma shared many common points. According to this research, the mean age of the patients with primary cerebroma was 33 81 and the 63 8% of the patients were aged less than 40; the lasting time of the symptoms and signs was different, and the 63 2% of the confirmed diagnoses were made within 1 year; and the symptoms such as headache, blurred vision, dizziness appeared commonly in patients with different kinds of cerebroma.

摘要:The effects of acupuncture on acute Bells facial paralysis were observed. A random clinical trial was carried out to observe the curative ratio, the time spent for cure, the relationship between the seriousness of disease and the time spent for cure, and the time spent for the cure of major accompanying symptoms, in the acupuncture group and nonacupuncture group. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the acupuncture group and non-acupuncture group as far as the curative ratio, the time spent for cure, and the seriousness of disease were concerned, but there was a marked difference ( P <0 05) between the two groups concerning the time spent for cure of the major accompanying symptoms such as pain, lachrymation and the Ⅴ~Ⅵ degree of the condition of the disease. The authors hold that acupuncture may be adopted in the treatment of acute Bells facial paralysis in order to shorten the time spent for cure.
