摘要:By observing and analyzing the current situation of Chinese medicine (CM) legislation and higher education in western countries, the paper discusses that the internationalization of CM has entered an advanced developing stage, which will greatly influence the trends of CM modernization. The author indicates that with the development of CM internationalization, CM modernization will bring a new medicine to the world.

摘要:Objective To observe the effects of Erhuang Formula on NK cells and cytokines in peripheral blood of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) rats.Methods Seventy Lewis rats were randomly divided into 4 groups, including normal group (n=10), model group (n=20), western medicine group (n=20) and Chinese medicine group (n=20). All of the rats except those in the normal group were injected with the antigen consisted of guinea pig spinal cord homogenate (GPSCH) and complete Freund’s adjuvant (CFA) in both postpedes to induce EAE. The normal group and the model group were administrated with normal sodium; the western medicine group with Prednisone; the Chinese medicine group with Erhuang Formula. Clinical score was recorded every day after inducing. On the day 14 and 28, the peripheral blood was collected. Cytokines(IFN-γ, IL-6, IL-18) were detected by Liquidchip; NK cells were detected by flow cytometer.Results Clinical score of the Chinese medicine group reduced on the day 20 and 28; the western medicine group reduced from day 20 to day 28, all compared with the model group. On the day 28, NK cells reduced in peripheral blood of the Chinese medicine group and the western medicine group compared with the model group; there were no significant differences between the two treatment groups. In peripheral blood of rats in the Chinese medicine group, IL-6 reduced on the day 28 ; in the western medicine group, IL-18 increased on the day 14 and IFN-γ decreased on the day 28; all compared with the model group.Conclusions Both Erhuang Formula and Prednisone can ameliorate obviously the clinical symptoms in EAE rats. Erhuang Formula probably regulates immune system by reducing NK cells and IL-6 to treat EAE. Prednisone likely regulates NK cells, IL-18 and IFN-γ to treat EAE.
摘要:Objective To study the influence of 3,4-oxo-isopropylidene-shikimic acid (ISA) on learning and memory abilities of rats with cerebral ischemia induced by photochemical injury.Methods The rat cerebral ischemia was induced by intravenous injection of rose bengal integrated with cold light source irradiation on sensorimotor cortex. After continuous intragastric administration of ISA to rats for 30 days the abilities of localization sail and spatial search were tested by Morris water maze (MWM). Results The model rats of cerebral ischemia induced by photochemical injury showed obvious disorders of learning and memory abilities. The escape latency of the model group in localization sail test was longer than that of the sham-operation group. In spatial search test the swimming initial angle of the model group was larger than that of the sham-operation group. The continuous administration of ISA for 30 days shortened escape latency and reduced the mitial angle in various degrees. Conclusion High dose of ISA (100 mg/kg) can improve the abilities of learning and memory and spatial position memory of rats with cerebral ischemia induced by photochemical injury.
摘要:Objective To observe the effects of Huoxue Injection on the expression of intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1) and the adherence to monocytes of cultured human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) induced by oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL ). Methods Cultured HUVEC was used as target cells; ox-LDL was added to the cell medium to prepare the injury model of human endothelial cell. The adhesive percentage of monocytes to HUVEC was detected by protein quantitative method. The expression of mRNA and protein of ICAM-1 were detected by RT-PCR and flow cytometry respectively.Results The adhesive percentage and the expressions of mRNA and protein of ICAM-1 were enhanced by ox-LDL after pretreating HUVEC for 12 h and 24 h(p<0.01, compared with the normal grounp); Huoxue Injection could significantly inhibit the adhesion between monocytes and HUVECs and the expression of mRNA and protein of ICAM-1 in HUVECs in a dose-dependent manner.Conclusion Huoxue Injection has an inhibitory effect on the adherence of monocytes to endothelial cells, probably by way of down-regulating the expression of mRNA and protein of ICAM-1 in endothelial cells, which can bring about the protective effect on endothelial cells injury induced by ox-LDL and decelerate the progression of atherosclerosis.
摘要:Objective To investigate the effect of electroacupuncture ( EA) on changes of behavior and glutamic acid level in hippocampal tissue in rats with chronic stress.Methods Forty male SD rats were evenly randomized into control group, stress-model group, EA group and Prozac220 group. Chronic stress model was established by using mixed stimulations. One hour before the stress stimulation, EA was applied to baihui(GV20) and yintang(EX-HN1) for 20 minutes, once daily; Prozac220 was given by intragastric administration once daily, both for 21 days. The rats’behavior was observed by using open-ield method and swim. The contents of corticotropin releasing factor (CRF) in the hypothalamic tissue, adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) in the pituitary, and corticosterone (CORT) in the adrenal tissue and hippocampal tissue were detected by radioimmunoassay. Glutamic acid(Glu) in the hippocampal tissue was detected by electro-chemical detection technique.Results Compared with the control group, the rats’ horizontal and vertical movement times decreased significantly and swim stop time increased significantly in the model group. The contents of hypothalamic CRF, pituitary ACTH , adrenal and hippocampal CORT and hippocampal Glu increased remarkably in the model group (P<0.05) . In comparison with the model group, the rats’ movement times increased and swim stop time decreased considerably, while CRF ,CORT and Glu contents lowered significantly in both EA and Prozac220 groups(P<0.05).Conclusion Chronic stress may cause the stress rats to move less and result in hyperactivity of the HPA axis and high level of Glu in hippocamp, whereas electroacupuncture can promote recovery of the rats’ abnormal behavior and regulate the secretion of Glu in hippocampal tissue.
摘要:Objective To explore the mechanism of antagonizing senile cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury of Naomaitong Granules by observing the expression changes of nucleotranscript factor-κB (NF-κB), heat shock protein 70 (HSP70), and nitric oxide synthases (eNOS, iNOS and nNOS) in aged rats with cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury.Methods The animal model of cerebral ischemia was copied by middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO) method. The nerve dysfunction score, water content of brain, pathological changes, expressions of NF-κB, HSP70 and NOS were observed respectively 3 hours after cerebral ischemia and on the1st, 3rd, 6th and 12th day after the I/Rmodel establishment. Results In the model group water content of brain (I/R 1, 3 and 6d), nerve dysfunction score (different time points), the expressions of NF-κB (I 3 h, I/R 1 and 3 d), HSP70 (I/R 1, 3, 6 and 12 d), eNOS (I/R 1, 3 and 6 d), nNOS (different time points), iNOS (I/R 1, 3 and 6 d) were all higher than those in the sham-operation group. In the Naomaitong Granules group the nerve dysfunction score, water content of brain (I/R 3, 6 and 12 d), expressions of NF-κB (I/R 1, 3, 6 and 12 d), nNOS (I 3h, I/R 1 and 3 d) and iNOS (I/R 1 and 3 d) were all lower than those in the model group, while the expressions of HSP70 (I/R 1, 3, 6 and 12 d) and eNOS (I/R 1, 3 and 6 d) were higher. In the Naomaitong Granules group the nerve dysfunction score (I/R 6 and 12 d), the expressions of nNOS (I/R 1 d) and iNOS (I/R 1 d) were lower than those in the nimodipine group, while the expression of eNOS (I/R 1 d) was higher. Conclusion The mechanism of Naomaitong Granules for antagonizing cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury is related to that it can inhibit the expressions of NF-κB, nNOS and iNOS, and up-regulate the expressions of HSP70 and eNOS.

摘要:Objective To study the effect of the Zichong Granules(ZG) on estradiol(E2) level in the ovariectomized mice administered by different ways. Methods Ovariectomized mice were administered with ZG by clyster or by oral perfusion. Diethylstilbestrol and Nüjindan were taken as control. Cornification index(CI) of vaginal cell and uterus index of castrated mice were counted. Histomorphology of uterus were observed. In addition, E2 in blood were determinated by enzyme immunoassay (EIA).Results The effects of ZG administered by clyster or by oral perfusion, Diethylstilbestrol and Nüjindan were similar. They all increased cornification index(CI) of vaginal cell(P<0.01), uterus index(P<0.01), E2 level in blood(P<0.05) and the thickness of endometrium(P<0.05) in the ovariectomized mice.Conclusion ZG administered by clyster or by oral perfusion has the effect of increasing E2 level and presents the estrogenlike effect. The effect of ZG for improving follicular development may be related to improving the level of E2.

摘要:Objective To study the inhibitory effect of exopolysaccharide (Pi-EPS) from Phellinus igniarius, a medicinal fungus, on growth of S180 solid tumor and ascites tumor in mice. Methods Pi-EPS was intragastrically given to mice with S180 solid tumor and ascites tumor at the dose of 100, 200 and 400 mg/(kg·d). Normal sodium and cyclophosphamide were taken as blank control and positive control respectively. The tumor weight, spleen index, thymus index, karyokinesis index, and survival time were measured. Results Pi-EPS significantly increased the spleen index and thymus index, decreaced the divisional index of tumor cells in S180 ascites and prolonged survival time of mice with S180 ascites tumor . The inhibiting tumor rates at the does of 100, 200 and 400 mg/(kg·d) were 31.25%, 36.86% and 44.38%, respectively.Conclusion Pi-EPS showed potent anti-tumor effect.
摘要:Objective To establish a method for determinating the concentration of geniposide, ginsenoside Rg1, ginsenoside Rb1 and notoginsenoside R1 in the effective fraction of Qingnaoxuanqiao Formula in beagle dog plasma by HPLC. Method Plasma samples were extracted by C18 solid phase column. Sec-o-glucosylhamaudol was taken as internal standard. Agilent Eclipse XDB-C18 chromatography column (4.6 mm×250 mm, 5 μm) was applied. The gradient mobile phase was HCN-H2O system with column temperature 30 ℃ and flow rate 1.0 mL/min. The detecting wavelength was 203 nm. Results The limited concentrations of each component were between 0.2~0.9 mg/L; the average recoveries were all above 90%; RSDs of intra-day and inter-days accuracies and stability were all below 10%.Conclusion The method is simple and accurate, and can be used as the quantitative analysis method for the 4 components in the effective fraction of Qingnaoxuanqiao Formula in plasma .
摘要:Objective To investigate the tissue structures and the content of polysaccharides in stem of Dendrobium loddigesii in different growing period. Methods The tissue structures of stem of D. loddigesii were studied by plant tissue section method. The content of polysaccharides was determined by sulphuric acid-phenol colorimentry.Results There were remarkable differences for D. loddigesii in different growing period in epidermis, elementary tissue and vascular bundle. The contents of polysaccharides in stem of annual, biennial and triennial Dendrobium loddigesii were 18.36%,23.60% and 15.42% , respectively . Conclusion The traditional quality index for D. loddigesii, such as the golden surface, soft texture and sticky,can be reflected by the characters and differences of tissue structures and the content of polysaccharides in different growing period. The appropriate time for harvesting is about the end of the second year for D. loddigesii. The specific harvesting time should be defined by further dynamic analysis and study.
摘要:Objective To establish a quality standard of Platycodon grandiflorus.Methods The presence of platycodin D were identified and assayed by TLC and HPLC, respectively. Extracts were separated on a Zorbax C18 column with methanol-acetonitrile-0.2%phosphoric acid (3∶25∶72) as mobile phase. The detection wavelength was set at 204 nm. The column temperature was 40 ℃ and flow-rate was 1.0 mL/min.Results The linearity was obtained in the range of 0.226~2.486 μg(r=1.000 0). The average recovery rate was 101.81% ( RSD=1.70%).Conclusion The methods were sensitive, accurate, reliable, and suitable for the quality control of Platycodon grandiflorus.
摘要:Objective To establish a MEEKC method for determination of bufadienolides in toad venom and their Chinese medicinal preparations.Method The separation was achieved with 10mM sodium tetraborate (pH=9.2) containing n-heptane 0.81%, SDS 3.31% and n-butanol 6.61% as buffer solution at a constant voltage of 15 kV and a temperature of 40 ℃. The detective wavelength was 298 nm.Results The linear determination range was 54.8~548.0 mg/L for cinobufagin and 51.6~516.0 mg/L for recibufogenin . The average recoveries were 97.29%~99.82%(RSD 1.86 %~2. 91%,n=6)for cinobufagin and 97.52%~101.69%(RSD 2.14%~3.02,n=6)for recibufogenin.Conclusion The method is simple and accurate with good reproducibility, and can be used for the quality control of bufadienolides in toad venom and their medical preparations.
摘要:Objective To explore the method of epidemiological survey to acquire the relatively representative syndrome database about blood stasis syndrome (BSS).Method Epidemiological survey about BSS was carried out in three areas in China.Results The survey covered 2100 cases of BSS in 4 hospitals of different areas, and 2004 cases were applicable among them. The survey results corresponded with the clinical practice after the basic calculation and the reliable analysis about the database.Conclusion In the study of syndrome of Chinese medicine, more representative and applicable clinical information about disease and syndrome can be obtained by epidemiologic survey with multi-center and large-sample, which makes the outcomes more reliable and popular in the study.
摘要:Objective To observe the influence of Zhixiaobaoshen Decoction on nitric oxide (NO) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) in patients with early diabetic nephropathy(DN).Methods Sixty-eight patients selected were randomly divided into the control group(n=34) and the treatment group(n=34). The control group was treated with Lotensin and the treatment group was treated with Zhixiaobaoshen Decoction. Changes of symptoms, fasting plasma sugar (FPS), urine albumin excretion ratio (UAER), NO level and SOD activity in serum were observed.Results After 8 weeks’treatsment, FPS, UAER and the NO level were obviously reduced and SOD activity was obviously elevated in both groups(P<0.01), but the treatment group was better than the control group.The improvement of patients’ symptoms was obvious in the treatment group(P<0.05), and was not obvious in the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion Zhixiaobaoshen Decoction can improve the symptoms and reduce UAER of patients with early DN, which is possibly related to reducing the NO level and elevating the SOD activity.
