摘要:The different characteristics between the Chinese and Western thinking pattern were compared in the paper.They are the atomic theory versus the Yuan Qi theory, the mechanical analysis versus the unification of nature and human body, the monophase concepts versus the multi-meaning concepts, the logical reasoning versus the intuitive understanding, and the quantitative experiment versus the conclusion expression by analogizing. Therefore, Chinese medicine, which comes from traditional Chinese culture, should be developed as follow: defining its concepts and logical deducing, emphasizing relationship ontology, founding parameters that show the characteristic of Chinese medicine, adopting reductive analysis guided by system thoery.
摘要:Objective To study the curative effect of Wenmaitong on experimental arteriosclerosis obliterans(ASO) in rabbits and its mechanism.Methods Tweenty-four rabbits were randomly divided into normal control group, ASO model group and Wenmaitong treatment group. The ASO model was established by local electric stimulation in femoral artery and high-lipid feeding for 6 weeks. The rabbits in the Wenmaitong treatment group were orally administered with Wenmaitong for 6 weeks. The pathological changes of femoral artery stained by HE and Masson were observed under the light microscope. PCNA expression in vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC), matrix metalloproteinases-2(MMP-2) and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1(TIMP-1) expression in vessel wall were detected by immunohistochemistry. Apoptosis of cells in the vessel wall was assayed by TUNEL method.Results The intima of femoral artery was thickened and the VSMC in the media proliferated and migrated obviously in the model group, while in the Wenmaitong treatment group, intima and media tended to as normal as those in the normal control group. PCNA positive cells in the model group were more than those in the normal control group, while PCNA positive cells in the Wenmaitong treatment group were fewer than those in the model group. The apoptosis cells of the Wenmaitong treatment group were greater in number than that of the other two groups.Compared with the normal control group, MMP-2 expression of the model group increased, which was more obvious in newly born intima; Wenmaitong decreased MMP-2 expression significantly. There was TIMP-1 expression in the normal control group. In the model group, TIMP-1 expression was slightly higher in newly born intima and slightly lower in media than that in the normal control group, while Wenmaitong increased TIMP-1 expression.Conclusion The effects of Wenmaitong to prevent and cure ASO were regulating the balance between the rate of cell proliferation and apoptosis, reducing the proliferation of the intima as well as decreasing the procedure of atherosclerosis. Wenmaitong also regulates MMPs/TIMPs balance to inhibit over proliferation and migration of VSMC to prevent and cure ASO.

摘要:Objective To investigate the effects and the synergistic effects of Panax Notogingseng Saponin (PNS), Astragalin Saponin (AS) and Baicalin (Ba), the main active components from 3 Chinese herbal medicines, on the apoptosis of a Helicobacter pylori supernatant transformed human gastric epithelial cell line (HP cells).Methods An immortalized human gastric epithelial cell line, GES-1 cells, was transformed by Helicobacter pylori supernatant twice, and the transformed cells were named as HP cells. HP cells were treated with the above 3 medicines alone or with different combinations of them. Cell apoptosis and/or necrosis were detected by electron microscopy, fluoroscopy and flowcytometry(Annexin V and Propidine iodide labeled).Results PNS, AS and Ba could induce apoptosis and/or necrosis of HP cells in a time-dependence manner. The effects were greatly enhanced when two or three of these medicines were used together (P<0.05 as compared with negative control cells). The order of enhancive degree from high to low was PNS+AS+Ba, PNS+AS, AS+Ba and PNS+Ba.Conclusion PNS, AS, Ba and their combinations have obviously cytotoxic effect on HP cells. This effect is partially caused by inducing apoptosis. Different combinations between or among these medicines induce cell death in different degrees.

摘要:Objective To study the effect of Qinggan Extract on the levels of cytokines of experimental liver injury models.Method The acute liver injury model was established by using D-galactosamine. The immunological liver injury model was established by using BCG and lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and cytokines were determined.Results Qinggan Extract could decrease ALT and AST level in both of the liver injury models, and could also decrease TNF-α,IL-1β and IL-8 levels in rats with D-galactosamine induced liver injury and TNF-α and IL-18 levels in mice with immunological liver injury.Conclusion Qinggan Extract has certain protective effect on experimental liver injury models. The mechanism perhaps is related to the reduction of cytokines.
摘要:Object To compare the effects among jasminoidin, ursodeoxycholic acid and their combination on gene expression in the brain of mice with cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury.Methods The model mice with whole cerebral ischemia-reperfusion were divided into Group Jasminoidin(JA), Group Ursodeoxycholic Acid(UA) and Group JA+UA(JU). Total RNA was abstracted by the method of One Step from the brains of experimental mice. Labeled by Cy3/Cy5, all samples were tested in gene expression profile by oligo genechip with 16,463 mice brain gene fragments.The test was repeated 6-9 times in every group.According to GO principle, Genespring software was used to analyze significantly expressed genes, and global genomic information was analyzed by hierarchical clustering.Results The significantly expressed genes in Group JA, UA and JU were 95, 86 and 102 respectively, including 63, 48 and 56 up-regulated genes and 32, 38 and 45 down-regulated ones as well as 19 common regulation genes. Three groups of differently expressed genes were related with metabolism and signal transportation. The overlap genes of group JU and UA(30) was more than that of JU and JA(25), but the former had similar results of early growth response gene, and the latter on inflammation relative genes such as NF-κB, Irf5, IL-1β, TNF-α, IL-6, IFN-γ and so on.Cluster analysis showed gene expression profile of JA was more proximate with JU than that of UA. Real-time PCR results were consistency to genechip results.Conclusions (a) Though there are many common regulation genes among JA, UA and JU, JA has more effects on inflammation relative genes, especially on mediated gene such as NF-κB, Irf5, while UA has more adjustable effects on pre-apoptosis functional genes such as Pip92; (b) The discordance between quantity analysis and cluster analysis suggests that not only significant expression genes have quantity difference, but also the relation between gene functions and components should be studied further.
摘要:Objective To investigate the effect of serum containing Zhigancao Decoction on L-type calcium current (ICa-L) in isolated single rabbit’s ventricular myocyte.Methods Single rabbit’s ventricular myocyte was isolated with enzyme.The whole-cell pAtch clamp recording technique was used to observe the changes of ICa-L.The ventricular myocytes were divided into 6 groups, normal group , normal serum group, 5%, 10%, 20% and 40% serum containing Zhigancao Decoction group.Results The serum containing Zhigancao Decoction decreased the ICa-L density in isolated rabbit’s ventricular myocytes;5%, 10%, 20% and 40% serum decreased the ICa-L density from(9.4±1.0)pA/pF to(7.8±1.0),(6.7±0.7),(5.6±0.9)pA/pF and(5.7±1.1)pA/pF respectively.Conclusion The serum containing Zhigancao Decoction can decrease the ICa-L in isolated rabbit’s ventricular myocytes in a dose dependent manner,which may be its mechanism for treating arrhythmia.

摘要:Objective To investigate the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) on nitric oxide (NO) and cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) levels in penile tissues of rats with depression.Methods Rats had been given several kinds of chronic stress procedure for 3 weeks to establish depression model.Baihui(GV20) and yintang(EX-HN3) were applied with 2 Hz EA. NO levels were measured by nitrate reductase test, and cGMP levels were measured by radioimmunoassay.Results The sexual behaviors of the model were improved by EA. In penile tissues of the model, the NO levels were not significantly changed, while the cGMP levels were significantly decreased. In penile tissues of the EA group, the cGMP levels were significantly increased, while the NO levels were not significantly changed.Conclusion EA can increase the cGMP levels of penile tissues in chronic stress rat model of depression, which may be one of the mechanisms for improving the sexual behaviors in depression.
摘要:Objective To study the mechanism of Gubenyanshuai Formula for postponing the senescence of subacute aging model mice.Methods 60 mice were divided into 4 groups. D-glucose subcutaneous injection method was used to induce aging model except the control group.After model mice were treated with different dosages of Gubenyanshuai Formula, the spleen lymphocyte proliferation, the levels of IL-2 and IL-2R were detected respectively.Results The spleen lymphocyte proliferation and the levels of IL-2 and IL-2R in model groups decreased compared with the control group(P<0.05), and all above increased in the Gubenyanshuai Formula treatment group compared with the model group(P<0.05,P<0.01).Conclusion Gubenyanshuai Formula can enhance the lymphocyte proliferation and the levels of IL-2 and IL-2R, which may partly participate regulating the body’s immune function to postpone aging.
摘要:Objective To carry on biotransformation of emodin to emodin-8-O-β-D-glucopyra-noside by plant cell suspension cultures.Method Four kinds of plant cell suspension cultures were used to convert emodin into emodin-8-O-β-D-glucopyranoside.The results were determined by thin-layer chromatography (TLC).Results The conversion procedure of emodin into emodin-8-O-β-D-glucopyranoside by Securinega suffruticosa,Catharanthus roseus and Polygonum multiflorum thunb plant cell suspension cultures were established.Conclusion Emodin-8-O-β-D- glucopyranoside was produced through biotransformation of emodin by plant cell suspension cultures for the first time.
摘要:Objective To establish the purification and separation technology for total flavones from Semen Descuraniae by investigating 6 types of macroporous adsorption resin.Method The adsorption capacity,elution ratio and purify of total flavones were used as evaluating criteria.The UV-VIS spectrophotometric method was used in the determination of total flavones content.Results NKA-Ⅱresin had better property of purification and separation.The optimal technological conditions were: the concentration of the sample of Semen Descuraniae,4 g/ml(amount of crude drug); the maximum adsorption capacity for total flavones,12.92 mg/g;the optimal column ratio of diameter to height,1/12; the flow velocity of adsorption,3ml/min ; the eluting reagent, 80% ethanol(5 times of the volume of the resin);eluting velocity , 3ml/min.Conclusion The technology of separating and purifying total flavones from Semen Descuraniae with NKA-Ⅱwas stable and effective, and can be applied to manufacture.
摘要:Objective To analyze the character of heat energy in distributing regions and adaptability of Glycyrrhiza uralensis in order to provide scientific evidence for building bases of growing Glycyrrhiza uralensis.Method According to about 30 years of data given by 81 observatories, statistic method was used to analyze some parameters such as ray radiation,hour number of sunshine , temperature etc. The adaptability of Glycyrrhiza uralensis over temperature was analyzed in terms of warmth index and coldness index.Results The radiant average quantity is 1 357 606 Cal/(cm2·a) in the distributing regions of Glycyrrhiza uralensis.The radiant quantity, hour number and percentage of sunshine was about 30% higher than the other areas located at the same latitude. The average temperature per year was 6.5℃,-12 ℃ in January and 22 ℃ in July respectively.Glycyrrhiza uralensis was adapted to growing in both low temperature in winter and high temperature in summer , and It can develop well in the warmth and coldness index from 31.66 to 119.46, even in the extreme low temperature of -40 ℃.Conclusion Glycyrrhiza uralensis belongs to a sort of temperate zone plant which grows well in not only high temperature but also low temperature. It has a high demand of ray radiation and hour number of sunshine. It fits the environment in which average radiant quantity per year is from 1.3×106 to 1.4×106 Cal/(cm2·a)and average temperature is from 6 ℃ to 10 ℃.
摘要:Objective To improve the therapeutical level of acute myocardial infarction(AMI) in the hospitals of TCM in Beijing, a multicentre clinical epidemiological investigation was taken to analyze the treatment status of AMI in recent few years.Methods According to the uniform forms of China Cardiovascular Committee of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine, the data of 400 cases of AMI admitted during 1999.1-2001.12 in 5 third class grade A hospitals of TCM in Beijing were investigated in the characteristics of morbidity, reperfusion, modern medicine and TCM treatment and case fatality. Based on the "Guide of AMI Diagnose and Therapy" in 2001, the factors related to the case fatality were analyzed.Results The mean age of the 400 cases of AMI was 66.62±11.91 year and the male female ratio was 1.58:1. Among the patients with syndrome of excess in appearance, there were 372 cases( 93%) with blood stasis and 212 cases(53%)with phlegm. Among the patients with syndrome of deficiency in origin, the percentage of patients with qi deficiency and yin deficiency were 59.25% and 27.25%respectively. The total mortality was 13.31%. The factors related to the case fatality were female, aged, more following diseases and more complications. The cases using intravenous thrombolysis were 23.75 % of the total cases. The using rates of the other drugs were: isosorbide , 95.5%; aspirin, 83.29%; heparin, 89.5%; beta-blockers, 63.5%; angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor(ACEI), 65.8%; lipid modulater, 33.0%. Among the intravenous therapy of TCM, injections of promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis were used slightly more than injections of invigorating vital energy. In the decoction therapy of TCM, hemorheologic agents were applied more than sputum eliminating agents and energy invigorating agents.Conclusions The AMI patients admitted in the hospitals of TCM posses a relatively special clinical features, the TCM symptoms were mainly blood stasis, stagnation of phlegm , deficiency of Qi and deficiency of yin. There is a gap between clinical treatment and the guideline, so introducing compositive therapy including reperfusion and TCM to reduce the mortality is the most important task we are facing now.

摘要:Objects To observe the effect of toxin removing, stasis removing and yin supplementing therapy on decreasing the dosage of glucocorticoid(GC) and protecting the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis(HPAA) of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE).Methods 147 cases of SLE were randomly divided into the integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine group (79 cases) and the western medicine group(68 cases). The western medicine group was treated mainly with prednisone only, while the integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine group with toxin removing,stasis removing and yin supplementing therapy on the basis of prednisone. Both groups had been treated for 2 course, 3 months as a therapy course. The prednisone dosage in the therapy course were counted. Then the levels of adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH) and corticosteroid(CS) in SLE patients were checked.Results The dosage of prednisone in both groups were decreased gradually after the state of disease had been relieved. The prednisone dosage in the integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine group was lower than that in the western medicine group in the first therapy course, but without significant difference(P>0.05),while with significant difference in the second therapy course(P<0.05). The total prednisone dosage in the integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine group(3542.5±124.4mg) was markedly lower than that in the western medicine group(5126.4±169.7mg)(P<0.01). The ratio of cases who had to add prednisone for aggravating disease in the integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine group(5.06%) was less than that in the western medicine group(13.24%) significantly(P<0.05). Before treatment, the levels of ACTH and CS in the severe active period were lower than those in the other group significantly(P<0.05). The levels of ACTH and CS on the 90th day and 180th day were markedly lower than those before treatment in the western medicine group (P<0.05). While in the integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine group, except for the level of CS after the 90th day being decreased significantly (P<0.05),others had no significantly difference between after treatment and before treatment. After treatment, there was no marked difference of ACTH and CS on the 90th day between two groups, while there was marked difference of ACTH and CS on the 180th day (P<0.05).Conclusions The toxin removing, stasis removing and yin supplementing therapy can effectively decrease the dosage of glucocorticoid in treating SLE, which is able to protect the HPAA, inspire and increase the level of ingenerate glucocorticoid, and then enhance the clinical curative effect.
摘要:Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Tongxinluo Capsules on coronary slow flow phenomenon (CSFP) through the analysis on clinical data of CSFP during coronary arteriography (CAG).Method The CSFP patients(n=60) were randomly divided into the control group treated with the routine medications nitrate and aspirin, and the treatment group treated with Tongxinluo Capsules on the basis of the routine treatment of nitrate and aspirin. The changes of the clinical symptoms, ST-T of electrocardiogram(ECG) and coronary flow of CAG were observed before and after the treatment.Result The symptoms of the patients in two groups were improved and the treatment group had a better therapeutic effect. The effective rate was 70.0% in the treatment group and 40.0% in the control group with a significant difference between two groups (P<0.05). The improvement rate of ECG and CSFP was 76.7% and 90.0% in the treatment group, and 46.7% and 20.0% in the control group, both with a significant difference between two groups (P<0.05).Conclusion Tongxinluo Capsules combined with the routine treatment of nitrate and aspirin have better therapeutic effect on CSFP.
