Objective To observe the protective effect of Sanrelun Fang on diabetic vasculopathy in mice and the mechanism.Methods The mouse model of diabetes was established by high fat diet and injection of streptozotocin（STZ）.All mice were divided into the normal group

and fasted for 6 hours after the last medicinal administration.The blood samples were collected from postorbital venous plexus for detecting the content of plasma glucose

blood urea nitrogen（BUN） and nitric oxide（NO）.Results In the alcohol extract group the content of plasma glucose decreased significantly（P<0.05）.Compared with the model group

the content of Cr and BUN decreased in the aqueous extract group and alcohol extract group（P<0.05

P<0.01）.In the alcohol extract group the content of serum NO and nitric oxide synthase（NOS） decreased significantly（P<0.05）.Conclusion The aqueous extract and alcohol extract have the preventive and therapeutic effect of Sanrelun Fang on vascular complications in diabetic mice.
